You may or may-not be aware that each local authority will be having a Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) inspection by Ofsted. This is separate to social care inspections, and school Ofsted inspections.

Under the local area SEND inspection framework, inspectors will look at how local areas meet their responsibilities to children and young people (from birth to age 25) who have special educational needs or disabilities (or both).

During these visits, inspectors will also spend time speaking to children, young people and their parents or carers. We are likely to be asked for a group of parents and young people who have used our service, Norfolk SEND Partnership IASS (Information, Advice, and Support Service), for the inspectors to chat with.

Inspectors will notify us 5 working days before they are coming to inspect. If you would be happy to be part of this group please CLICK HERE and include your telephone number, name and address.

When the inspectors ask to speak to parents we will put your details forward for them to contact you if they wish to.
